These terms apply to corporate training booked with Cairo Syntax. If a signed proposal or contract says something different, the proposal or contract applies.
Booking
A booking is confirmed when your company accepts our written proposal and, where the proposal says so, pays the deposit. The proposal sets out the program, level, format (on-site or online, live or recorded), dates, number of participants and fees.
Fees and payment
- Fees are in Egyptian pounds unless the proposal states another currency, and exclude VAT and other applicable taxes.
- Unless agreed otherwise: 50% on confirmation and the balance within 14 days of the invoice after delivery.
- For on-site training outside Greater Cairo, travel and accommodation costs are charged as agreed in the proposal.
Rescheduling and cancellation
- Your company can reschedule free of charge up to 10 working days before the start date, once per booking.
- Cancellations made 10 or more working days before the start: the deposit is refunded less any costs already incurred.
- Cancellations made less than 10 working days before the start: 50% of the fee is payable. Less than 3 working days: the full fee is payable.
- You may replace a participant with another employee at no cost before the program starts.
- If we must reschedule (for example, trainer illness), we will offer new dates promptly; if none suit you, we refund what you have paid for the undelivered sessions.
On-site delivery
For on-site sessions your company provides a suitable room, a projector or screen, a reliable internet connection and, where the program requires it, laptops with the agreed software installed.
Online and recorded delivery
Live online sessions run on the platform named in the proposal. Recordings and materials are available in the client portal for the period stated in the proposal, and are for enrolled participants only.
Certificates
Certificates of completion are issued to participants who meet the attendance and assessment requirements stated for the program. A Cairo Syntax certificate is not an official vendor certification (for example, a Microsoft exam); where a program prepares for such an exam, the exam is booked and paid for separately unless the proposal says otherwise.
Bespoke programs
For bespoke programs, we agree the scope and learning outcomes with you in writing. Changes after the curriculum is approved may affect the timeline and fees.
Materials and confidentiality
Course materials remain Cairo Syntax's intellectual property and are licensed for your company's internal use. We keep your company's data, files and business information confidential and use them only to deliver the training. Where participants work with your data, we recommend using anonymised or sample data.
Liability
Our total liability for a booking is limited to the fees paid for that booking, except where the law does not allow such a limit.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt, and the courts of Giza have jurisdiction.
